The stage sound system technology plan of Meixi Lake Culture and Art Center was designed by Kunke Theatre Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd., and at the beginning of the project, according to the positioning of the project and the owner, a very high design requirement was put forward according to the relevant national standards of China. After many inspections and public equipment procurement tenders, the owners finally selected the German Kling & Freitag brand products to win the bid. The brand's products are provided by Kling & Freitag China and Hong Kong and Macao's total generation of Shanghai Zhongmei Ya Electroacoustic Equipment Co., Ltd. This is not the first time that China and the United States have become attached to Zaha. The Harbin Grand Theatre, designed by Zaha and designed by MAD Architects, founded by her acclaimed disciple Ma Yansong, has previously adopted the audio solutions of China and the United States. These two projects left a particularly deep impression on the owners during the project inspection phase.

The Grand Theatre is divided into three levels of spectator area. In order not to damage the decoration style of the theater, the Grand Theatre has reserved the installation position of the speaker system, and all the speakers are hidden behind the sound-permeable cloth. To cover the needs of multiple performance types, the theatre is also equipped with a mobile anti-sound cover. The main sound reinforcement form of the stage sound system adopts the left middle right channel line array configuration. Twelve Kling & Freitag Sequenza 10W line array systems are suspended from the left and right sides, and the center channel uses eight Sequenza 10W line array systems hoisted in the sound bridge. Four Access B10 subwoofers are stacked in the eight-character wall on both sides of the stage to supplement the low-frequency energy. The system is also equipped with 8 Nomos XLS as the mobile subwoofer. 15 Sona 5s were evenly distributed in front of the table lip as the platform lip and the music pool speaker, providing sound reinforcement for the front area of ​​the pool and the music pool. All speakers are driven and managed by the Kling & Freitag D80:4 and D200:4 amplifier processors. Because these two models of power amplifiers have both Dante, AES/EBU, and analog interfaces, the entire system achieves powerful backup and flexible sub-control functions. "At present, the theaters using Dante transmission mode in China are not particularly large, because the setting of Dante is a difficult point. All signals in the stage and auditorium are first sent to the theater signal distribution system through the interface box. The signals required for the main expansion and return system are sent directly to the Stage Tec Star audio routing system located in the central signal exchange room on the first floor, and passed through the Stage Tec Nexus. The interface box uses fiber optics to transmit signals to the second floor PA control room, two mirrored Stage Tec CRESCENDO consoles, and the Stage Tec Nexus interface box on the fourth floor near the two sides of the stage, and they provide AES at the same time. The /EBU, analog and Dante signals are sent to 33 D80:4 and 4 D200:4 amplifiers also located in the fourth floor amplifier room.

Dante's application also greatly simplifies speaker control for a large number of effects. “Because Dante has enough channels, the amplifier also has 1:1 sound effect speakers. We can control the surround sound of each building, pool seat and ceiling sound separately, or arbitrarily group. If outside The performance group takes a multi-track sound source. This multi-track can be 5.1 or 7.1, 20.2 or even more channels. It only needs to be re-matted with the dante system here to achieve the desired effect. The system is equipped with a 24-channel Wisycom MRK960 wireless receiving system and a range of effects such as the TC Electronics M3000 and Lexicon PCM96.

The sound of the project was designed by the Institute of Acoustics and Theatre of East China Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. The project's stage sound system process design is the Kunk Theatre Engineering Consulting Company in Germany; the project's stage sound engineering general contractor is Zhejiang Dafeng Industrial Co., Ltd. Shanghai Zhongmei Asia provides equipment supply, technical support and system commissioning for audio systems. The Kling & Freitag plant sent engineers from Germany to David Ludz to arrive at the site to provide support.
The acceptance of the Grand Theatre and the small theater was unanimously recognized by the Acceptance Experts Group and the Quaker Theatre Consulting Company. Many experts said that the theater has “reached the international first-class standards†and that Kunke believes that the sound system has fully met the design requirements. After the official opening, there have been hundreds of different types of performances, including opera, musicals, and symphonies, which have been well received. Meixi Lake Culture and Art Center has successfully filled the gaps in the high-end cultural and art platforms of Hunan Province and Changsha City.
