customizing the leggings: those playground shorts

I’m kind of cheating with today’s post, because it’s a repeat of an older post. But it’s totally relevant to customizing the leggings pattern, so I thought it would be helpful to show it again.

I sew a lot of leggings for S. She wears them instead of tights in the winter, and she also wears them as an extra layer of insulation when it gets really cold out–like long underwear. (This winter they’ve gotten a lot of use.) But during the rest of the year, we make a lot of “playground shorts” because she wears them under her skirts and dresses. Like this:

This is a really easy change to make to the leggings pattern, and you can read about it right here.

Meanwhile, I’m going to put on my own long underwear and drive through all this Michigan snow to spend some time with my grandma. See you tomorrow!

Impregnated Fabric

How do you impregnate fabric?

Impregnated non-woven fabrics include: saturated impregnated non-woven fabrics (English name: Saturated impregnated non-woven fabric) and foam impregnated non-woven fabrics (English name: Foaming impregnated non-woven fabric).
The characteristics of impregnated non-woven products can be achieved in the impregnation working fluid without the need for additional processing of the finished fabric. In the immersion working fluid, the common characteristic adjustments are: hardness, waterproof, dyeing, water absorption, flame retardant, etc. In addition, the impregnated non-woven fabric needs to be produced at a high temperature of about 250 degrees, and is widely used in various fields according to this high temperature resistance.
