Huang Longyu was originally called yellow wax stone, also known as Long Huangshi. The excellent gem-quality Huanglongyu is mainly produced from the Xiaoheishan Nature Reserve in Longling County, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province and the surrounding Supa River Basin.
It has the color of Tian Huang, the hardness of jade, good hardness, high transparency and rich colors. Because of its production in Longling, and the main color of yellow, it was finally named Huanglongyu.
The main components of Huanglongyu are silica muscovite, and other metal elements such as iron, aluminum and manganese, and more than 40 kinds of trace elements. However, unlike crystal, it is not a single crystal, but a polycrystalline composite similar to jade and Hetian jade.
Seeing Huang Longyu at 6 o'clock is not jade:
1. Origin: Jade is produced in Myanmar, and Huanglongyu is produced in Yunnan.
2. Density: The density of Huanglongyu is 2.60g per cubic centimeter, and the density of jadeite is 3.33g per cubic centimeter.
3. Hardness: The hardness of Huanglongyu is 6.5-7, and the hardness of jadeite is 7.
4, gloss: Huanglong jade has four kinds of luster, grease luster, waxy luster, glass luster, earthy luster; and jade has only glass luster.
5, percussion sound: Huang Longyu with a metal rod tapping the sound is boring and sinking, the jade sound is melodious and crisp.
6. Resilience: Huanglongyu has low toughness and is brittle, and the emerald has high toughness and is not easily broken.
