Recently, Joyoung (China) Co., Ltd. announced a formal partnership with IBM, aiming to jointly develop a benchmark supply chain for the Chinese men's wear industry. Chen Jiaya, CEO of Joyoung (China), mentioned that following the establishment of this strategic alliance, IBM will assist in streamlining and optimizing various processes within Joyoung's supply chain, including production management, logistics, and sales. The focus will be on redefining operational modes and enhancing planning and design efficiency. The initiative is expected to improve sales accuracy, boost inventory turnover rates, and significantly enhance the forecasting and replenishment aspects of their product strategy. According to Li Jianbo, IBM’s General Manager for Greater China, modern supply chain management can reduce overall costs by approximately 20%, shorten order-to-production cycles by 20-30%, and increase productivity across supply chain nodes by at least 15%. The partnership with IBM seeks to establish a leading supply chain model for the Chinese men's wear sector while offering valuable insights for similar industries. Nine Herdsmen, known as "the expert in men's trousers," has maintained its leadership in the domestic market for nine consecutive years, ranking first in terms of market share, sales volume, and coverage. Recognizing the potential for global expansion, Nine Herdsmen plans to invest hundreds of millions of yuan in acquiring or forming joint ventures with two European brands. This move is seen as a strategic foundation for entering international markets. Lin Cong-ying, Chairman of Joyoung (China), emphasized that in today's evolving landscape, Chinese companies must not only solidify their domestic presence but also proactively engage in global competition. With IBM’s extensive international reach, it is believed that this collaboration will bring fresh momentum to both parties.
