Dear friends and stakeholders,
Over the past few weeks, we at Division I, a leading brand in the women's intimate apparel market, have faced serious challenges to our reputation. There have been malicious attacks, both online and offline, aimed at tarnishing our brand image. These attacks include the spread of defamatory messages and false claims about our company, which we categorically deny. We have already engaged in discussions with relevant websites and have formally reported these incidents to the Criminal Investigation Brigade of the Baiyun District Public Security Bureau in Guangzhou. The case is now under investigation.
To protect our brand integrity and the rights of our company, we are taking legal action against individuals and entities responsible for these malicious actions. Division I remains committed to upholding our reputation through all legal means available. Additionally, we plan to hold a press conference soon to update everyone on the progress of the case and ensure transparency.
Let’s review the facts that have come to light:
Firstly, on August 11, 2009, an individual using the pseudonym "Beautiful Banshee Machine" posted derogatory content targeting our brand. They followed this up with similar attacks on other brands such as Dorian and Famen. Later, they published a post suggesting that our brand could be undermined by launching a competing "Sissi Underwear" brand. This was clearly an attempt to create confusion among consumers.
Secondly, it has been confirmed that the person behind these attacks is actually affiliated with the Sissi brand. Their company, Beijing Sisi Mandy Dress Co., Ltd., registered in December 2007, has been involved in multiple consumer complaints. For instance, there are numerous reports of fraudulent activities linked to their brand, including misleading franchise offers and poor customer service. A quick search reveals several websites documenting these complaints.
Thirdly, our legal team has initiated appropriate legal proceedings against Sissi Underwear. We expect them to face severe consequences under the law for their actions.
In light of these developments, we wish to convey the following points:
First, we urge the individuals involved to cease their harmful activities immediately. Instead of resorting to underhanded tactics, they should focus on improving their product quality, enhancing their services, and fostering positive relationships with their franchisees and agents. This approach would yield better results than engaging in malicious behavior.
Second, we call upon relevant websites to halt their negative publicity against innocent businesses and brands. Spreading falsehoods does not serve anyone well and undermines trust within the industry.
Third, preliminary investigations suggest that the source of these cyberattacks may be traced back to a competitor based in Guangzhou. We have identified certain IP addresses associated with these attacks. We intend to pursue significant civil compensation from those responsible.
Fourth, we encourage our existing and potential franchisees and agents to critically evaluate the information being circulated about us. Our company operates legally and transparently, with offices in Guangzhou, Taipei, and Singapore. We do not have any presence in Beijing, nor do we engage in deceptive practices like offering franchises via fax without proper due diligence.
Fifth, we invite the general public to scrutinize the malicious content being disseminated about us. It contains many inconsistencies and inaccuracies, such as false claims regarding contracts and affiliations. Furthermore, our products are distinctively different from those of other brands in terms of style, material, and positioning. As a first-tier brand, we certainly wouldn’t engage in outsourcing low-quality products to third parties.
Sixth, Division I prides itself on honest business practices. Our company holds valid licenses for design, production, and sales, adhering strictly to all legal requirements. We are not a mere trading entity or an OEM operation.
Seventh, we remain steadfast in promoting ethical investments. Last year, our chairman highlighted common scams in the underwear franchise sector through an article on our official website. We appreciate feedback from our supporters and encourage vigilance against counterfeit brands and misleading advertisements. Together, let’s combat unethical merchants who exploit franchisees and damage our industry. We stand ready to assist victims of such practices by providing legal support if needed.
Stay tuned for further updates as we navigate this situation. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Best regards,
