I’m absolutely delighted to join this group. If you’re reading this, chances are you love the unique charm of Oliver + S patterns just as much as I do. Their designs often serve as my go-to resources when mastering new sewing techniques. My kids wear a lot of handmade pieces, including the ever-popular Playtime Leggings and School Bus T-Shirt. Now, I’m excited to dive into the Swingset Skirt pattern.
For this project, I plan to stick closely to the original design but may add some playful tassels to the drawstring. To keep the skirt light yet dynamic, I chose a fabric with great drape and movement. While browsing the clearance racks at Target, I stumbled upon this beautiful, hand-painted dress. Its weight felt just right, and the colors reminded me of the stunning palette in a photo from *Sweet Paul*.
Living in Minnesota means embracing all types of weather outdoors. With winter approaching, I’ll pair the skirt with some cozy layers, like leggings and maybe even a sweater, to ensure it stays practical while still being stylish.
